Here\u2019s a favourite tool for the workplace or elsewhere. Say you\u2019re working on something and you\u2019d like feedback \u2013 this tool helps you get feedback and suggestions on improvement in a way that\u2019s almost pleasurable<\/em>. I know, sounds improbable.<\/p>\n

It goes like this \u2026<\/p>\n

First, requester asks \u201cperfector\u201d to play \u201cthe perfection game\u201d on something requester is working on.<\/p>\n

Assuming they agree \u2026<\/p>\n

    Requester shows perfector the \u201cthing\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    The perfector rates the thing on a scale 1\u201310 according to how much additional value<\/span> s\/he thinks s\/he can add (if perfector cannot say how to make the object better, s\/he must give it a 10!)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Perfector says \u201cWhat I liked about the thing was \u2026\u201d and proceeds to list the qualities of the thing s\/he enjoyed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Perfector says \u201dFor it to be a 10 for me, it would \u2026\u201d and describes what s\/he sees<\/p>\n

    Commitments<\/span><\/p>\n

      Requester accepts perfecting reflections without argument<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Perfector gives only positive comments<\/span>: what s\/he likes and what it would take to \u201cbe a 10\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      If perfector cannot specifically say how to make the object better, she\/he must give it a 10<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
